What ought I to do? : morality in Levinas

 I return to my journey to Russia in the rays of the new spring. I came in my mind to the line of Stefan George titled “War,” which I tried to translate from German for my readers: “There is nothing there to celebrate it, only sunsets without dignity .. The Saints are the only juices flow, which as yet bursting with blemish free – the whole stream.” In this context, my previous article about the visit before the month in Moscow remains strangely alive, probably because of the return of my dreams to St. Petersburg, which I visited four years ago. It had been monitored the hotel “Cosmos”, in which I might to have stop during my stay in Moscow, I eventually was changed in a small hotel on the street of the Little Ordynka near “Tretyakov Gallery.” I found myself in the place where in the circle with a diameter of eight hundred meters there is twelve beautiful churches. (Personally, as a priest I could celebrate a solemn Holy Mass at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary on the street of the Little Georgian, in the heart of the Russian capital.) Personally as a ‘condemned to freedom’ I might see from near the Kremlin  churches and walk on Red Square, talking to my friend, thus I had a mental advantage over everyday life. I also had enough prestige to get a conversation with Mrs. guide Uspieńskis Sobor. I want to say that my most perfectly formed another report from Gulliver’s the third millennium the Travel will not be fully successful, for it remains only a comic book, which is history written off under the thumb of modern economics, we had no money yet. Speaking over Gorky and his mind, it could one therefore say  that self-consciousness has its limits, as ultimately theoretical knowledge, and that if you look at yourself too closely and carefully, we immediately see that we would not be able to do a happy life. Gorki as well as Jonathan Swift suggested that the human condition in general is dirtier and less, as we believe it. Gulliver constantly disguises himself throughout his journey, or is forced to adopt certain parts of the native clothing. His journey to new lands is therefore a journey into the new clothes. When Don Pedro during the fourth trip to offer him new clothes, Gulliver violently refuses, preferring wild animal skins. We now feel that Gulliver could never fully integrate into European society. State of nudity may recall the situation of Gulliver as a non-existent as soon as he feels outside because of the solace of clothing and clothing. Thus, we rely on relationships with him on the concept of the aid. Philosophy of contemporary thinker of Emmanuel Levinas, it is now based on a specific concept, namely, as the understanding of suffering as the foundation of interpersonal ethics, as the understanding of the basic constitutional uselessness of suffering, its essence-suffering “for nothing” (sic). At the end of the second millennium of Christianity, man’s position among living things is different …  more and more, to understand the person is already “talking with him,” start a conversation with him. And that language appears as a condition of conscious of life a chance. For that reason Levinas makes the specific language of communication of his thoughts. When Levinas writes that “face to face situation remains the ultimate” [Emmanuel Levinas, Totality and Infinity, 81], then he not only refers to the primacy of ethics in relations with neighbors, but also to develop, most endowment something more important, to foundations in general. Responding “here I am here” (for Levinas is important, or even that first of all that I’m in this room: “Me Voici”), then the answer to the claim that calls me, obliges me. Therefore I am prescient. Today, talking about waking up to another, about the beginning of his neighbor (between revelation and ethics), the metaphysics of love in Levinas (by gender and transcendence), not so much about the problem, what about the argument of the Other (eg by means beyond reason in the thought of K. E. Barth and Levinas), from the totality of the Other of the Other-neighbor.E. Levinas in his book titled in English:” Entre Nous: On Thinking-of-the-Other” (Irvington, New York, U.S. A. Columbia Univ Press. 1998. (ISBN: 0231079117), he passes from one to another, relevant chapters have the title: Transcendence and time; Human rights and free will, is unique. What could be our responsibility to our neighbor in this situation: I am in front of him, serve him-up to replace myself through it. This is undoubtedly an ultimate mystery of sociality, he said [Emmanuel Levinas, Bad Conscience and the Inexorable, “in Face to Face with Levinas, ed. Richard A. Cohen (Albany: State University of New York Press, 1986), 39]. Thinker finds that in this way the state offices, such as courts and other institutions derive their authority from our responsibility for others, the problem of humanity in us. The most important thing now I want to emphasize in this essay, it is vital role of subjectivity in a particular situation of ours. It is in the context of our individual responsibility for the Other, which is subjected to our freedom in question, the only man reborn dignity. A man is uncovering the soul of his neighbor. As B.Spinoza would say, a soul, it is a physical representation to neighbor. And that means that I should approach him how to the selected top, I’am in a different way to save his life climbing. Altruism has a great future. (Thus, or in connection with this, I would say now as a priest, that the protection of “my church” is already lucky climbing of the second degree, and maybe even third grade.)
