Stanislaw Barszczak; Once upon a life

There are no ordinary men, although so many believe themselves so. Long ago in a land now sunk into the sea, there was brown-skinned boy with eyes like topaz. He was

eating only bread and milk, the fried red-blueberries also. Long time he did not speak, and when he took a speech, it said so: My belief or disbelief will not change

the truth…Then he began to think, and well. He was saying myself, I never lie. He took the idea, in the absence of other interesting thing, to write something in the

books. What’s the most important thing about fiction? The most important thing is that it assures the reader that things need not be as they are now. In other words,

the most important thing is hope. Christopher is his name, he forgets everything when he sleeps. Writing down his experiences every day and reading his journal anew

each morning gives him a poignantly tenuous holding. A young man in his teens he is still transported from our world to a magical realm that contains seven levels of

reality. Very quickly transformed by magic into a grow heaven. As a young parish priest, Father Christopher has heard many confessions, but his own tale is more

astounding than any revelation he has ever encountered in the life. He is filled with new knowledge of the ways of a movement in time yet. Came only one day of the

year. They sat at ease in the Oval Office. Had I looked at his guest, he would have seen a handsome, ageless man, dark-haired, with a smooth oval face and a flawless

olive complexion. Had he looked into this man’s eyes, he would have seen the night looking out through a mask; it was because he had looked there once-and had not

liked what he had seen-that he did not look again. Now the honorary guest, the president a man in his forties he raised an eyebrow. Also had the president’s guest

looked at him,he would have seen a lean and hard-faced man of sixty-three who might have been a farmer or a county agent. I don’t like it and it would bore me to write

it and I’m not gonna write it, that kind of thing. I remember only part of the conversation. A writer notes in his poem “human development” reference to our

evolutionary roots. Once peasants, the people sat or stood on the trees, unshaven and uglier, worse face. But then the men were later discovered and thrown out of the

wilderness, now the world is paved and on display, and was built to the thirtieth floor, the president said. Christopher, he played the role of host, so he continued

the discussion over coffee at the following way. Because we are human beings, because we are in a specific way are characterized as people, we make mistakes. That

means we have to deal with the evolutionary principles. We are, for example, too fast. Because we are individually marked, secondly, because we are individuals,

therefore, we make mistakes. Thirdly, and this is very important, it is not possible, the language always depict in to what people think. The language barrier is

therefore also a source of error. Especially in cross-cultural discourse, it is important to know: I just really think different – and certainly worse – if I have to

speak English! Alone already by the dominance of the English language so there are new errors and problem facilities. The fourth error is the biggest mistake: We have

implicit theories, prejudices. When we these implicit theories when we do not know these prejudices and make transparent and then we run into difficulties permanently.

And of course there are also the practical mistakes that you make all the time: You work too fast, things are much easier to depict, etc. We also always things that

can lead to errors in turn. Today comes another problem, nation-wide, global, namely the clash of civilizations. As for the two cases: fault line (local problem) and

core state(GLOBAL situation). On the one hand the communities are the real place of truth, because they are the place of reality. But on the other one the acceleration

of civilization arise Avalanche disparities in the distribution of wealth, the exploitation of human potential, culture of different countries overlap hopeless each

other. This is illogical transfer. Then the callers have had to say goodbye. It showed me there with the president. I raised the idea of a meeting. The idea is quite

simple. The Enlightenment gave it 200 years ago, following consideration of Kant hired at that time: God can not prove it. One can not prove that he does not exist.

One can not prove anything because even – and this is what he has shown. The conclusion was for him: If we do not know if there is God, then you can also not invoked

and refer to God when it comes to our own guidelines for action, when it comes to the question what do you want. In other words, : If so, it has to think for himself.

I’m not nearly as good a writer at e-mail as I am on paper. I’m an old-fashioned guy. I need time to print it out and look at it and revise, scratch my head. But I

started writing at Częstochowa, for The Tygodnik Częstochowski, which was the magazine of the city. I wrote three or four little stories for it. I wish to god I could

remember the name of the editor. He was an upperclassman and I was a sophomore after his second returning home, romantism has got at that time in my house. Is feedback

important to me? I thought the condolence message-article for that reason my mother’s death made some very sensible points. It said, ‘This is how good Stanislaw

Barszczak is, and this is why you haven’t heard of him. Now is the time of the presidential election, a new spring peoples of the lands on the Baltic Sea. I would move

our country in time of the presidential election in the only land of justice, the more perfect politicians beloved homeland, to look at interesting television program,

discover the final responsibility of our press. I want to wish you all, and voters and candidates for such prestigious office in our state of health and God’s blessing for ever.
